Who We Are
The Private Investor Protection Agency (PIP Agency, or PIPA) is an independent body established to assist individuals who have suffered financial loss as a result of fraud, misconduct, or the failure of financial platforms. We operate a structured, documented process for submitting, reviewing, and advancing fund recovery claims.
Unlike law firms or investment brokerages, PIPA holds no commercial stake in case outcomes and charges no upfront fees at the submission stage. Our work is built on the principle that victims of financial misconduct deserve access to a credible, professionally managed process — regardless of the size of their loss or the complexity of their case.
PIP Agency is registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14872391) and operates internationally, with expertise spanning digital assets, offshore trading platforms, and cross-border fund transfers across 38 jurisdictions.
An independent, not-for-profit aligned body
PIP Agency receives no government funding and is not affiliated with any regulatory authority. Our independence is structural — built into how we select reviewers, assign cases, and make decisions.
Our Mission
Mission Statement
“To provide every victim of financial fraud or misconduct with a professional, impartial, and structured path to seek the recovery of their funds — regardless of the jurisdiction involved, the size of the loss, or the complexity of the case.”
This mission shapes every operational decision we make. It is why we accept cases without upfront fees, why we assign reviewers on the basis of expertise rather than commercial relationships, and why we invest continuously in expanding our jurisdictional reach.
We believe that the gap between suffering a financial loss and having access to a credible recovery process should not depend on wealth, geography, or legal sophistication. PIPA was founded to close that gap.
Core Values
Our values are not aspirational statements — they are the practical standards by which we hold ourselves accountable in every case, every communication, and every decision.
Independence
We hold no commercial affiliation with any financial platform, broker, or intermediary. No reviewer has a financial interest in the outcome of any case they assess. Our independence is the foundation of our credibility.
Transparency
Claimants are informed at every stage of their case — what is happening, why, and what comes next. We do not use opaque processes or unexplained delays. Where an outcome is not achievable, we say so clearly.
Rigour
Every case follows a documented methodology with defined checkpoints. We do not cut corners, make unsupported assessments, or issue findings without adequate investigation. The quality of our process is non-negotiable.
Accessibility
Our platform is designed to be usable by individuals without legal training or financial expertise. We provide plain-language guidance, accept incomplete submissions, and support claimants throughout the process.
Integrity
We operate without conflicts of interest and decline cases or relationships that would compromise our neutrality. When we make a mistake, we acknowledge it, correct it, and learn from it.
Operating Principles
In addition to our values, PIP Agency operates under a set of concrete principles that govern how we conduct our work:
No Upfront Fees
Claims may be submitted and reviewed without any payment at the initial stage. Where fees become applicable in later stages of processing, claimants are informed in advance and must provide explicit, written consent before any obligation arises.
Written Communication at Every Stage
Every significant decision, status change, or request for information is communicated to the claimant in writing. We maintain a documented record of all case communications, accessible to the claimant throughout the process.
Reviewer Assignment by Expertise
Cases are assigned to reviewers on the basis of jurisdictional expertise, case type, and workload — never on the basis of commercial relationships, case value, or likely outcome. Reviewer assignments are logged and auditable.
Documented Methodology
Our review process follows a standardised methodology with defined inputs, outputs, and decision criteria at each stage. This ensures consistency across cases and provides a basis for quality assurance and ongoing improvement.
No Guarantee of Recovery
We are explicit that submission of a claim does not guarantee any recovery of funds. This is stated prominently throughout our platform and in every initial communication with claimants. We do not make representations about probable outcomes.
Vision for the Future
PIP Agency was founded in response to a clear and growing gap in the financial services landscape: the absence of a credible, accessible, and independent body specifically focused on helping private individuals recover funds lost through financial misconduct.
Our long-term vision is a world where no victim of financial fraud faces that experience alone — where a structured, professional process is always within reach, regardless of the complexity or jurisdiction of the case.
Near-Term Goals (2025–2027)
- Expand jurisdictional coverage to 60+ regulatory environments
- Launch a dedicated digital asset recovery track with specialist reviewers
- Establish formal referral relationships with financial ombudsman offices in key markets
- Introduce a platform licensing programme for law firms and regulatory bodies
- Publish an annual transparency report on case volumes, outcomes, and methodological updates
Long-Term Goals (2027+)
- Establish PIPA as the internationally recognised standard for private investor protection
- Develop multilingual platform capability to serve non-English-speaking victims
- Pursue formal recognition by regulatory bodies in the UK, EU, and key Asian jurisdictions
- Create a public database of documented fraudulent platform patterns to assist prevention
